Let’s talk about food, let’s talk about snacks in particular. Here’s our Top 5 Snacks (in no particular order) to indulge in during this Deepavali, which you can easily get them on Redmart and have them delivered straight to your doorstep!

1. LADDU

What’s Deepavali without the obligatory sweets, such as Laddu? Laddu is a traditional Indian sweet made of flour, sugar with other ingredients that vary based on preferences. The Haldiram's Dry Fruit Laddu Sweets are made from wheat flour and assorted dry nuts which give you the crunch with every bite.

2. SAMOSA

Next, hailed as the national snack of India by TheHindu.com - Samosa - “the triangular piece of bliss”! Deep-fried with potatoes and peas, all wrapped up in the kneaded dough, this is the snack perfect for anytime consumption!

Each piece of the Seawaves Vegetable Cocktail Samosas are packed with an authentic Indian curry blend of herbs and spices that makes it simply irresistible.

3. POPPADOMS

Poppadoms are no longer just a complementary item on your plate of Nasi Briyani. Made from lentils, these plant-based crunchy chips are now widely available all thanks to Uncle Saba! Uncle Saba’s Poppadoms are readily available in so many different flavours, but my personal favourite is the Sweet Chilli one. But, beware - It is highly addictive!

4. MAKHANA

The healthiest Indian snack to indulge on would be without a doubt Makhana. These  plant-based, crunchy and addictive snacks from ZENKO Superfoods’ Water Lily Pops are  amazing! More commonly known as Makhana or Popped Water Lily Seeds, they are packed with plant-based protein, amino acids, and antioxidants which offer a healthier, gluten-free non-GMO alternative to on-the-go snacking! We like how light and crunchy these Pops are and does not fill you up with a bloated stomach in-between meals. It’s no wonder Makhana is the go-to snack for over 2,000 years!

Available in 4 flavours, cart out individual flavours on RedMart or you can get the Super Starter Pack to try all 4 flavours here

5. MURUKKU
Lastly, not forgetting the most original snack of them all - Murukku! The name derives from the Tamil term for “twisted”, referring to its shape. One of the classic brands of Murukku, Camel, carries a range of different shapes of these “twisted” crunch! This crispy and buttery Indian snack is loaded with tons of different spices that contributes to the depth of the snack, and promises a satisfying crunch with every bite! Camel now offers a bundle of 15 packed with 5 packs each of Murukku Strip, Round and Shevel!
